HEG4-RTA16 Overview:The HEG4-RTA16 digital video recorder is THE highest specification standalone DVR available.Current Firmware allows D1 Recording at lowered frame rates as an option! The HEG4-RTA16 is an enterprise class digital video recorder utilizing an H.264 hardware compression DSP from Texas Instruments. The HEG4-RTA16 can push real-time video and audio recording at a full 2CIF resolution on every channel. The versatility of this unit is extensive. Each camera input can be independently configured with variable bit rates, frame rates, record modes, compression, and more. Each channel also supports audio recording using the OggVorbis audio standard at a 16 kbps bitrate. The output video and audio streams are integrated to comprise the synchronized H.264 stream. Video and audio coincide with each other from beginning to end. The USB port allows video and images to be saved to a USB flash drive, for simple data transfer. The included CD writer allows for larger files to be copied to a CD-R for later viewing. The network access storage (NAS) backup feature employs TCP/IP for full file and hard drive backup. Remote viewing, playback, configuration, upgrade, reboot, and backup are all standard on the HEG4-RTA16. The embedded web server enables users to perform all these remote function via an Internet Explorer web browser, eliminating the need to install software. Client software is also included for central monitoring and alerts for as many as 16 HEG4-RTA16 units. Dual streaming configurations are also a standard feature allowing high resolution recording on the unit locally, while lower bit rates and resolution are used for remote viewing, conserving network bandwidth and increasing remote viewing quality and performance. Two-way voice talk and audio over the Internet is also standard on the HEG4-RTA16. Up to 2 terabytes of storage can be installed in the unit, providing years or recording under proper recording parameters. 3rd generation digital surveillance technology utilizing a proprietary OS, embedded web server, and TI DSPs bring together the most powerful network-based digital video recorder available.
